August: Project Re-Design with Adrianna Naomi

Project Re-Design has made it’s come back! As some of you might know I started this DIY “Project Re-Design” collaboration with bloggers on monthly basis last year but I had to put it on pause because I got very busy with being full time in school as well as working part time and having to complete a part time internship.

Therefore, this one is the first collaboration I’ve done this year and it is with my lovely blogger friend Adrianna Naomi!

She reached out to me a few months ago stating that she was interested in participating in the project re-resign collaboration. 1. I was happy that a blogger noticed and was interested in working with me on my project. 2. I was happy that a friend of mine as well as blogger was going to brainstorm some great ideas with me!

As you can see from our photoshoot, we both chose different paths towards redesigning our shirts. We decided to stay within our budget and work on a plain white tee. When an agreement between a blogger and I has been made towards the collaboration we decide to work a specific item. The main purpose of this project is to show people around the world that you can use your old items and turn them into brand new pieces. Be creative, be you and show the world what kind of designs you’re into.

I decided to use a light brown/vibrant fabric color and paint the middle of the shirt as well as add these letters stating “blogger” in the middle. Now, originally my plan was to sew in the letters “blogger” but I wasn’t able to do that because I left the project for last minute so I knew that I wouldn’t have time to complete it. Therefore, I had to improvise and use something that I already had at home. At this moment I realized that I had letters left which I bought from Michael’s store because I had to decorate my graduation hat this past year.

Adrianna, on the other hand decided to add small detail on the bottom right side as well as top left. She has detailed dots and hearts which shows that she was very driven towards her art and design. Also, she’s someone who does not wear white tees frequently so I was happy that she agreed to do a design on a white tee with me.

Stay tuned for the next collaboration in September x
