When Stress Finally Hits Me

 Hello my lovely people, besides giving a little bit of information on what I am wearing I wanted to also share with everyone what I do when I’m stressed out. In this #OOTD I decided to play it risky by wearing this off the shoulder top that was given to me as a gift and pair it with this slit elastic material as well as high waisted burgundy skirt. This Rose All Day bottle bag by Betsey Johnson was not planned to be part of the outfit but I had to take it out for a spin.  Lately I feel like a lot of people who are close to me have been going through different struggles including myself. Lately, I’ve been really stressed out with studying for my LMSW license exam which is coming up. Trying to enjoy the last month of summer, thinking about my blog/taking photos, working part-time and having to study for this exam has been a bit hectic but what I always remember and tell myself is that I do my best.

When stress hits me I like to be alone for a few hours or just stay quite and work everything in my mind which means that I do not like to talk about it. Something else I like to do when I’m stressed is tell myself to slow down and take slow breaths in and out. Besides taking a few breaths in and out I like to give myself a small talk and explain to myself that life is not only build with blooms, I need to go through struggles in order to challenge myself and learn how to cope with difficult situations. Just because we are faced with complex obstacles in life does not mean that we can never jump back to our state of equilibrium. Since I really enjoy shopping a lot and clothes make me happy at times I will also at times purchase a small gift for myself. I’m not saying that we should be impulsive and spend our money excessively but a small gift for ourselves at that moment could put that smile on our face.

    It’s a daily practice managing stress and I totally get it! Things get hectic sometimes but we can only do our best for the day x
